Why Volunteer?

Helping with BAM Con is hard work, but the hard work of our Staff and Volunteers is what makes the convention run smoothly. We try to assign everyone to tasks that they have some fun doing, although sometimes that isn't possible. There are several areas of the convention that we need reliable volunteers, including registration, panel set ups, and the game room to name a few. We also try to make volunteering rewarding and thus there are benefits to doing it. The benefits stack, so the more hours you work the better the benefit is. If you do a great job, you might be in line to be staff for the next year.

Who can volunteer?
In order to be elegible to serve as a volunteer at BAMCon you must be a registered attendee and be at least 16 years old by the time of the convention

How much time can I volunteer for?

If you work 4 hours or less - You will receive our undying gratitude

If you work up to 6 hours - you will get a small thank you gift

If you work up to 12 hours - you get a 1 day convention badge

If you work up to 20 hours - you will get a 3 day badge and a shirt

Can I wear my cosplay outfit while volunteering?
We rather you don't cosplay while volunteering. We understand you have put a lot of effort and time into your costume and want to show it off, but wearing it might interfere with some of the volunteer tasks you could be assigned.

Volunteer orientation will happen closer to the convention and you will be notified via email about it.
